Icon Malaysia’s Penang Centre Celebrates One Year of CareIcon Malaysia’s Penang Centre Celebrates One Year of Care

This month, Icon Oncology Penang marks its first anniversary with incredible achievements in patient care, improving health outcomes and access for people across Malaysia.

The Penang centre, located in Island Hospital is part of Icon Group’s joint venture with Sunsuria Healthcare. The collaboration brings together Icon’s deep oncology expertise with Sunsuria’s strength and knowledge of the region’s healthcare landscape.

Since opening, the centre has ensured more patients, both local and regional, gain greater access to comprehensive cancer care.

Personalised, comprehensive care Personalised, comprehensive care

In its first year, the centre welcomed a new doctor, Dr. Ooi Kai Yun and launched Icon’s Women’s Cancer Program.

This program supports women through their cancer diagnoses and beyond, recognising their unique concerns and providing personalised care and access to the support and treatment they need. Providing a more seamless approach to care, this service has been well received by patients and helped close the care gap between allied health and multidisciplinary specialists.
